The Annual meeting of Taiwan Culture Center of Greater Washington DC took place on February 27th at 6pm at Harvest Moon restaurant (7260 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22042). 

There were over 150 guests attended this annual meeting. President of the TCC Tai Huang thank all the supporters for their contributions and devotions during the year 2009, and look forward to another great year for the center to come. All board of directors have given great contributions to push TCC to move forward. Several volunteers have received the appreciation certificate from the Center for their help to make better events last year. The entertainment program was volunteered and successfully organized by Helen Allen.

NATPA & TASTA Joint Seminar in March 2010 PDF Print E-mail

 

North America Taiwanese Professors Association and Taiwanese American Science and Technology Association will host a joint seminar on March 20th, 2010 at Culture Center of TECRO, 901 Wind River Lane, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. This is a great start for local Taiwanese American organizations to work together to provide better programs and seminars. Please mark your calendar and come to join this special event in early spring.

Taiwan Culture Center has recently added the Pacific Times to our journal subscription and would like to welcome all the communities of Greater Washington DC and Taiwanese American community to visit the center for our journal collections. The Children Play "Frog Prince" Has Successfully Brought on Stage PDF Print E-mail

On Sunday evening, the Taiwan School New Year celebration has attracted more than 150 community residence to attend. Taiwanese language speech contest award ceremony took place after dinner. All winners have received their reward and once again share their speech with all the parents and friends. Soon followed by a good try out of the first children play “Frog Prince” presented by Taiwan Culture Center, sponsored by Taiwan school & TYAF, this little frog group consists 10 of 5 to 6 year-old children has given a great performance. The music of the show is created and arranged by Annie Chuan; this play is written by Chia-Chi Hsiung, Yi-Cherng Lin, Han-Hui Tsai and Carlton Chu, and directed by Yi-Cherng Lin.
