The Taiwan Culture Center will be closing early on Friday, February 5th, 2010 due to the snow storm over the Washington DC metropolitan area. The center would like to remind all the community friends to stay home, keep warm, and don’t go out during the storm unless it is really necessary. Enjoy once again the winter wonderland : ) |

New Children Play “Wolf, Woodman & Little Red Riding Hood” |

Taiwan Culture Center is pleased to announce that a new Children Play production “Wolf, Woodman & Little Red Riding Hood” will be presented in May 2010. Thanks to Taiwanese American community for their great support of our first Children Play production “Frog Prince”. This new children program will begin in February with 10 training sessions and give a final performance in May. It is now open to all children age from 5 to 10 to enroll for this training program. The Children Play "Frog Prince" Has Successfully Brought on Stage |

On Sunday evening, the Taiwan School New Year celebration has attracted more than 150 community residence to attend. Taiwanese language speech contest award ceremony took place after dinner. All winners have received their reward and once again share their speech with all the parents and friends. Soon followed by a good try out of the first children play “Frog Prince” presented by Taiwan Culture Center, sponsored by Taiwan school & TYAF, this little frog group consists 10 of 5 to 6 year-old children has given a great performance. The music of the show is created and arranged by Annie Chuan; this play is written by Chia-Chi Hsiung, Yi-Cherng Lin, Han-Hui Tsai and Carlton Chu, and directed by Yi-Cherng Lin. |
